A privately owned mountain hotel serving traditional Savoyard food. A favourite for locals, mountain professionals and visitors alike. The restaurant has a traditional interior with a log fire and is open all day for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Popular dishes include tartiflette, raclette and fondue. Situated on the piste, next to the Adray chairlift, the hotel will pick you up from the road just beneath Le Rond Point on their skidoo.

The only Michelin star restaurant in Meribel at Le Kaila Hote. It exudes a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere, but with eye watering prices it is difficult for us to recommended it, unless you are looking for overly flashy food and intrusive service.

Gourmet restaurant at the Hotel Helios. A slope side restaurant, just above Méribel Centre. The hotel and restaurant lack atmosphere. We found it pretentious, and we were not impressed with either the food or the prices. Maybe it has improved since we ate there.

Méribel’s original Italian restaurant. With many Italian specials as well as traditional Savoyard dishes and meats from the grill. Traditional Savoyard food. A great choice for a Cheese Fondue or Raclette. La Fromagerie is a superb cellar restaurant with rustic atmosphere. Upstairs is its own shop with a magnificent choice of local cheeses, but for the restaurant the owner has a special cool, cellar room absolutely full of superb giant cheeses from different regions. It’s always very, very busy so book early and don’t be put off by the smell! Only really for the cheese lovers

The Grande Coeur is a very luxurious Relais & Chateaux hotel. Built in 1952, it was one of the first hotels in Meribel. It has a lovely, cosy bar (an excellent place for pre-dinner drinks/cocktails) and elegant restaurant, probably one of the best “fine dining” restaurant in Méribel, which had a Michelin star at one point. Offering traditional dishes ‘with a gourmet twist’, we hear that the food is very good and service excellent – although it can be a little formal. A great place for a special dinner or treat, but not if you’re on a tight budget!

Offers a unique menu with authentically cooked contemporary Indian cuisine, and a selection of fine wines and beers. Tsaretta Spice has acquired quite a following since opening in December 2016, with both holidaymakers and seasonnaires. A little pricier than your average Indian, but worth it for the inventive dishes (and one of the better options for vegetarians!). Tsaretta Spice is the sister venue of Tsaretta (Located in Les Allues). |
